Over the years, I have gained experience in various healthcare settings, working in intensive care units (ICU), cardiac care units (CCU), medical intensive care units (MICU), emergency medicine, intermediate care units (IMC), medical surgical floors and cardiopulmonary outpatient units. From 2016 to 2021, I held the position of the cardiopulmonary outpatient coordinator, overseeing the daily operations and growth. During this time, I completed my Master’s in Healthcare Administration in 2019. Most recently, I worked at an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility where I gained extensive knowledge/experience in leadership as an outpatient program director.
In addition to my clinical roles, I have been serving as an adjunct professor for the cardiorespiratory science program at the College of Southern Nevada since 2022 and been a proud board member of the American Lung Association here in Las Vegas since 2022. I have been working in hospice care since 2020, providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families.
Personally, my husband and I have been happily married since 2014, and we have a wonderful daughter who was born in 2018. As a New York/Italian, I take great pleasure in eating/cooking delicious food and finding solace in the comfort of home with my little family. We often take family walks accompanied by our loyal 11-year old German Shepherd, and on lazy days, I find tranquility by the pool, engrossed in a good book.
Servant leadership holds great importance to me, as I strive to be a pillar of support to both my patients and staff. I firmly believe in providing compassionate care and instilling confidence in our team, ensuring that we always do what is right. Just as we would treat our own families, we extend the same level of care and dedication to our patients.

My career began as a CNA (certified nurse assistant), where I met my beautiful wife of 31 years, while we were both employed at a care facility. Throughout this time, we raised our family of 8, and I worked my way up to LPN, RN, and completed the course of study for Family Nurse Practioner. Our family and taking care of our loved ones are the most important parts of our lives.
Of our eight children combined, I am proud to say five have chosen a career path in healthcare. At Sierra Hospice, we make a positive impact on others, and I am blessed knowing my children have the same servant mentality, strong work ethic and compassion as I do. From my oldest son Phillip who is a military veteran and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology where he has helped hundreds of individuals and families during this difficult time. My second oldest son Joseph holds a degree in respiratory therapy and is our Director of Business Development. Joshua, my third son, is our RN Admission Nurse. Vanessa and my youngest son Isaiah are CNAs.
We have also worked extremely hard to hand pick the best in our industry to join our team. Integrity, a servant mentality, compassion, effective communication skills and teamwork have driven us to provide the best care for your family. We are all deeply passionate about end-of-life care (Hospice), and being involved in managing patients’ symptoms, providing education, disease progression, and expectations of facing a life limiting illness. I have learned and experienced so much about the hospice industry since I began in 1996. It was now time to take my experience and expertise to the profession to provide a higher level of care. We welcome you to Sierra Hospice & Palliative Care of Nevada, where we treat your family as ours!
